Open Sales Weekend

From October 2 to 5, 2025, the Burghof Open Sales Weekend will take place for the very first time at Burghof Brodhecker in Riedstadt (near Frankfurt a.M.) – a new sales concept for show jumping, dressage, and leisure horses, organized by the Brodhecker family in cooperation with numerous breeders from the region.

Proven traditions reimagined

The Open Sales Weekend offers you a completely new horse buying experience: instead of a traditional auction, the format focuses on personal consultation, individual trial rides, and a transparent bidding process with minimum prices.

Our handpicked collection features highly talented youngsters, promising up-and-coming horses, and experienced competition pros for both dressage and jumping. The selection is rounded off with particularly steady-nerved leisure partners – true heart horses for every occasion.

All horses come from the Brodhecker family’s own stock as well as from established breeders in the region. The collection includes around 25 horses, carefully chosen based on quality, rideability, competition experience, and health.

For more than 40 years, sport horses have been bred, trained, and successfully marketed worldwide at Burghof – to amateurs and professionals from all disciplines. Quite a few horses from here have made their way into international top-level sport, even winning gold medals at major championships (references).

The concept at a glance:
– All horses have a minimum sales price
– Trial rides available by appointment during the weekend
– Bids can be placed on-site or by phone with our consultants
– The highest bid by Sunday evening will be accepted

The venue is located just half an hour from Frankfurt a.M. Airport (FRA) and offers ideal conditions for a relaxed, family-friendly buying experience.
